The GAF A310 was landing at 13L arrival JFK. The best shot was the side on but it didn't come out right. White was blown out.

    which overpass?
i would really like to know because its seems that the picture was taken from a place very close to the runway and probably the only place that i could take good shots with my 70-200nm lens next week.

It's not a spot that you can stop to take photos in, so I probably wouldn't plan on trying to take pics there.

    Thanks Delta777LR,
I thought you were in Atlanta?

    amirshapira,
Phil is spoke acurately, That spot isn't not any place to be hanging around. I'd suggest not shooting there.

    Thanks Bill,
I'm glad I booked 2.5 weeks back home in NY. I origionally planned everything to start o the 18th but the times turned out to be incorrect this year. I'm glad I planned for an extra week sep12th-oct1st total. Might be back up next month again. Thanks for the assistance while I was in the field too.

np senga, I really liked that angle for some reason and honestly the c/s on that aircraft are cheerful enough that I would even shoot it being non-airline.

Dang I'll have to content myself with the Qatar 340 and a KLD 73 down here. I guess that's Florida VIP week .. lol

Yes, I like thoe GAF colors too. I liked the came colors but with the blue cheatline even more. This spot. Its my more fav spot of all the spots in JFKland. Too bad its not a place to really be :(

yeah I've been there only once and from what I saw it's the nicest spot, basically you just gotta time the plane take the picture and leave, that sucks lol

    Thats true Mayi757,
The only time it was ok to shoot there since I have been in NY was when the concorde was in its last few days in NY. Everytime just before the Concorde would land you could go ask the cop on the overpass if you can sit there and get some pix and they were more than happy to let you. My Best Concorde shots were taken from that spot.
