Does anyone actually have the iPhone? I thought about it (being the big geek I am) but being it's an Apple product and I'm a PC person (no offense, I appreciate the MAC) I am unsure how it interfaces with PC products. I use a Cingular 8125 Pocket PC and get work email and open word and excel documents often.

my buddy wanted badly to get one when he came to visit the city earlier this summer. actually, it was the same week that the phone was supposed tocome out. anyway, thanks largely in part to the lovely sales girl at the cingular store on park row he ended up with a blackberry and is now making fun of those with iphones for spending $800 on a phone.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
His unlocked Iphones are running about $2000 on eBay!!!!

I don't understand why they signed an exclusivity agreement with AT&T to begin with. Don't they want to sell as many of these as possible? And quitting one's plan just to get the iPhone and switching to AT&T costs a bundle too. What they hell was Apple thinking? I hear they have this contract with AT&T for another two years.
If I recall correctly, AT&T is paying apple for the rights to be the only one to carry the iPhone.
Shoot first, ask questions later.

One of my colleagues got an iPhone on the day it came out to write a review of it...he hooked it up to his office desktop Mac expecting them to play along perfectly. To our surprise it didn't work at all...iPhone needs the latest version of OSX, and his machine had the previous version. When he hooked it up to his Windows laptop it worked fine.Originally Posted by emshighway

Teen Who Hacked iPhone Trades It for 'Sweet' New CarTuesday, August 28, 2007
SAN FRANCISCO — The teenage hacker who managed to unlock the iPhone so that it can be used with cellular networks other than AT&T will be trading his reworked gadget for a new car.
George Hotz, of Glen Rock, N.J., said he had reached the deal with CertiCell, a Louisville, Ky.-based mobile phone repair company.
Hotz posted on his blog that he traded his modified iPhone for "a sweet Nissan 350Z and 3 8GB iPhones."
"This has been a great end to a great summer," Hotz wrote.
The 17-year-old Hotz said he will be sending the three new iPhones to the three online collaborators who helped him divorce Apple Inc's popular product from AT&T's network. The job took 500 hours, or about 8 hours a day since the iPhone's June 29 launch.
iPhone iCracked Hotz made the deal with Terry Daidone, co-founder of CertiCell, who also promised the teen a paid consulting job.
"We do not have any plans on the table right now to commercialize Mr. Hotz' discovery," Daidone said in a statement.
