    Aircraft Identification Nit

    Greetings,

    Pardon my ignorance ... but on most of the larger Being and AirBus airliners ... the trailing edges of the wings have three or more protruding "bars" (for want of a better term).

    What are they called ... how do they work ... and are they for increased flight stability? Thanks.

    those fairings house the flap guides and motors.
    it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
