JFK for the most part was on the 4s all day. So if you didn't go out early in the morning (which was cloudy) no one could get anything worth a dime today. JFK did use 13R for arrivals for about an hour today which is rather rare. I did notice finally in the late afternoon they switched to 22 and 13 finally.

I posted these in the "other" thread, but here are JFK shots from 5/5 (all shots):

This guy was a bit of a surprise:

And this was the "catch of the day":

Unfortunately, this was the view we got of Wunala Dreaming as she went in for a 13 landing:

Very nice shots Phil, nice shot of EC-JCZ. :)

Every time the 13/22 configuration is in use and I'm standing at either the mounds or Cargo Plaza I always look up waiting to see the Qantas 747-400 flying over on the downwind to try and get a glimpse if she will be Wunala that day.

I would have done everything possible on earth to catch her.

Did a quick edit on Habitat, couldn't believe Mark when he said it was coming in. A nice treat.

Sorry I missed the gang on Saturday - I headed out mid-morning, checked ATIS, and it was 31L departures, 4R arrivals. Thought I would head to Howard Beach for some departures. Just as I got there, they switched to 13L arrivals

Took a quick run through the cargo plaza, but it looked sort of busy, a bunch of cars & trucks parked and people coming and going. About the same time, they added 22L arrivals to the mix, so I headed out to North Woodmere. Of course, most of the interesting stuff looked to be arriving on 13L, but got a few decent shots:

All white Deltaflot nose on this 767:

Backlit all to hell, but a couple of cargo departures off 13L:

I had plans for later in the afternoon, so I didn't get to spend too much time out. I think I had more luck with the waterfowl:

What a great day Saturday was! It looks like all of us had some pretty good stuff. Hat's off to Tommy, Phil and John for some fantastic shots.
