Last Sunday (4/22), when some of you were out shooting at JFK, I was enjoying the sunshine out at Shea. I was offered my company's field box, and just couldn't pass it up, they are really good seats. When they checked my bag, the security guy was concerned about the 100-400 lens, and called his supervisor over. I told him "I always bring it", and he let me in.
Here are a few shots...
Fred Wilpon, Met's owner, signing autographs before the game. Think you will see George do this up in the Bronx?
Carlos Delgado sharing a laugh in pre-game warmups:
The main event - Mets & Braves, Glavine & Smoltz pitching...
"Don't look at me Carlos, keep your eye on the ball!"
Bobby Cox had a little disagreement with the umpire. He got to watch the rest of the game from the clubhouse![]()
A little chat during a pitching change.
The Mets ended up losing this one...who would think that with Glavine & Smoltz going that the teams would score 15 runs between them? Despite the loss, it was hard to beat the day - perfect weather, great seats, a cute blonde friend along for the game...
