I don't like to re-post things from A.net, but this is pretty impressive.

The best part, IMHO, is between 45 and 48 seconds on the counter.

That is absolutely wild. The side photo watching all the slides with people pooring out at once was really something.

No life jackets were used.
The things you may have seen were vests all the demo pax wore so they could be counted.

Just to let you guys know, from what I have read, this is not the official evacuation. The top slides were pre-inflated, and the "subjects" were more healthy than the actual test is supposed to be.
nwa FOREVER!
Everything I know indicates this was the official evacuation.
Airbus was allowed to pre-deploy the slides, and it was well documented that Airbus recruited people from health clubs in Hamburg.
The time stamp on the video stops at 1min 17.4secs, which was the official evac time, as noted by the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4858484.stm). The date of the test, 26 March 2006, was noted by Airbus (http://www.airbus.com/en/presscentre/pr ... _test.html).
There was however, an initial bogus report by Reuters France that said the test failed (http://www.tiscali.co.uk/news/newswire. ... plate.html) but this report was quickly debunked.

Well my bad, then my info must have been wrong.
Does anyone remember the B747 test, with the lady that refused to jump? :)
