    New Yorker article featuring NYCAviation.com

    Hi everyone,
My New Yorker article is in the magazine this week, and online here: http://www.newyorker.com/talk/2007/04/0 ... _talk_blum

I wanted to thank everyone for their help!-- particularly G-BOAD, Mellyrose, Moose135, pinktristar, Mirrodie, kc2aqg, Vinny, and, of course, Captain Phil. I had a great time last week at JFK, and really appreciated everyone's enthusiasm.

See you all for the 787's arrival, if not before!

    Sincerely,
    Andrew

Great article! I loved the last sentence, it just shows how little people know about our hobby!

I wish I could have been out there, if it were on a weekend, I might have, but it just wasn't feasible for me to come. But, by the sound of it, you guys had a good time.

In anticipation of this occasion (the A380 visit, and the New Yorker shout out) Mel and I wrote a new article for the news page...the first addition since the Corey Lidle incident 5 1/2 months ago (oops).

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.

This is a great piece. Humorous and educational at the same time.

    Great work Andrew! Thanks!

For those buying it at newsstands, it's on Page 30.

Very nice article - I especially like the opening paragraph, which conveys both the idiosyncrasy and the extreme normalcy of the hobby at the same time.

Great work Andrew! Was a pleasure meeting you.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.
