Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of getting a lens from a place called FotoConnection (http://www.fotoconnection.com/). They're the cheapest by far, but since I've never heard of them I just wanted to see if any of you know anything about them.

Your thoughts are most appreciated.

They look kinda shady. They have a deceptive address listed on their "About Us" page: there's no such thing as "Midwood, NY", it should read "Brooklyn, NY."

Google "FotoConnection" and starting with result #3 you get a bunch of sites filled with people telling their FotoConnection horror stories. Basically after you place an order, someone calls you and tries to upsell you into all kinds of stuff you don't actually need, lying about the features of the product you ordered to get you to purchase "upgraded" equipment. If you say no, they tell you the item you ordered is out of stock.

So, no, don't order from them.

I have researched this place, don't bother with them, just another place that is trying to rip you off.

Boy, I live in Westbury but the area is known as Salisbury and it is in Nassau County. Guess that's deceptive also. Midwood is a legit area of Brooklyn. I would rely more on the reviews than where they claim to be.
