New US AZ Cardinals bird

Dave Budd's buddy Steve in PHX just got a shot of the new US AZ Cardinal C/S.



I think it's kinda cool.

That blows! They should kept the 757 in the Card colors, this really doesn't look good at all.

tommy, the A319s are getting the color because they serve the most markets. the 757s just don't... i think that one looks way better than the eagles one! i can't wait 'till they interate the fleets and this one visits LGA!!

I think the new Cardinals plane is utterly disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they kept the Cardinals livery alive, even if on a wimpy A319 instead of the 757, but this paint job looks awful compared to how N908AW looked. It almost looks like a cartoon character is painted on the side of the plane.

Of all the special schemes US has done recently, I think the two best are PSA and N828AW, the old America West scheme. I saw 828 at PHX recently, and it looks fantastic.

The old AZ Cardinal C/S on the 757 was much better. This is not so bad though they could have tried to get the head of the cardinal more on the nose of the plane. Oh well the paint is dry now.

I'm just grateful that they continue to make SOME KIND of special paint schemes. Who cares if it isn't as good as the past, it's better than what will soon be a neverending flow of US birds, no?

Very true. PHX can get quite dull at times with the constant stream of US and WN planes.

I know some of you have shared your disappointment with this scheme and I also think it could be better but I don't hate it either. I was thinking of sending Tempe a suggestion that when time permits they should add the Cardinals Helmets to the engine cowlings similar to the ones that where on the tail of 757 N908AW, any thoughts on that ? Also the attached website has a few photos near the right hand top taken in nice light which I think makes it look a little better.

Hopefully it will grow on most of us. Having worked for a carrier that for many years never had any special scheme aircraft it is very cool to work for one (the same) that now has so many ! Oh and does anyone decides me see the resemblance to Nok Air (Thailand) scheme ?
