    Most popular airliner before launch?

With all the talk of the 787, and it being Boeing's best selling airliner before launch, it raises this question: Is it the best selling airliner before launch ever? If not, what is?

Without knowing exactly I'd say the 737NG has to be up there, perhaps MidnightMike would know.

The 787, if it launches on time (Crossing my fingers) will be the most successful launch of an aircraft.

    Nothing else comes close....

I know I can't wait to see that bird in the air! Being that my airport is DTW, (Northwest Heavy Central) I hope to be one of the first to see the bird in scheduled service, since NW will be the first airline flying it.

We'll expect some pictures from you then, right after delivery.
