    Porter Airlines pondering LGA and EWR

    Porter Airlines is a new startup at Toronto Island Airport (YTZ), operating 2 Q400's with 18 on order. Current route is YTZ-YOW (Ottawa). YTZ-YUL (Montreal) commences in Dec.

    The President said that both LGA and EWR are possible additions in early 2007. Porter is getting more queries about New York than any other city. MDW is also an option.

    LGA or EWR makes sense. New York is the 3rd largest commuter market for YYZ/YTZ after YOW/YUL.

    Those 18 additional Q400's will have to fly somewhere....

    I'll let you know if this develops.

    would be nice to see another prop operator at LGA...
    it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
