Evergreen (Fire Bomber) at JFK (Modified Paint Job!)

I also took note of a Evergreen Fire Bomber at JFK......N740EV recently has had its tail painted. I did not come accross any shots of it like this on the net so far. I do think the change to this aircraft makes an already nice loooking scheme even more so.

After photographing teh EIA I was treated by having a local "concerned citizen" scum bag driving a ragedy toyota chase me around a little bit because he saw my camera. After I pull over.
    WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME.........

    I am greeted with:

"What are you doing! Where are you from?"

I say.....New York?, I'm an aviation photographer sir this is a hobby of mine.

"NOT WITH A BIG CAMERA LIKE THAT!"

After that comment I realized this guy had the brain the size of a turd so I left. The dumber they are the scarier they are...

I got my shot thats all that matters :)

It's amazing how idiotic people can be. While Toyota guy was chasing you around, I am sure dozens of tourists in Manhattan were happily photographing subways, high-rises, the Staten Island Ferry, whatever with no problem. Quite often down in Columbus Circle tourists actually have the cops join in their photos outside the Time Warner Center, I see this all the time. The concept that aviation is the only target of terrorists and that anyone photographing or even looking at planes from a public area must be suspicious is really retarded.

Why was the Supertanker in town?

The new tail design is sweet, to bad the number is not 747 instead of 947 but very cool just the same and as usual great catch Senga !

Yes, and one I never would have expected to see at JFK.

Great catch--especially with the white MaxJet in the background.
