I was at the Memorial Service; very very powerful. The service itself, as well as the Memorial designed by Freddy Rodriguez was well coordinated and I feel it provided closure.

I will be posting some photos soon.

May all those lost aboard Flight 587 Rest In Peace.

I was out in Northeast PA for the holiday weekend when 587 crashed. I heard a little blurb on the car radio, and in the aftermath of 9/11 was worried about further terrorism. I spend an hour going around the dial, finally getting a static-filled WCBS 880 report about the crash.

God bless those lost and their families.

I remember I was sitting in the class and every teacher in the school got called out for somthing we all thought it odd and when she returned she put on fox news and there it was everyone was tripping out but I kind of figured it was a coincidence really to be honest. God bless them all though

Very nicely done Michael. This was a real tragedy, and although I knew no one personally on the flight, it hit very close to home for me. As many of you know my wife is of Dominican descent, and we are both very proud of her heritage. I have traveled many times to SDQ, often on AA A-300's. most recently in July. Every time I am on one I think of this accident. This was such a huge loss for the huge local Dominican community. May all lost on this day five years ago rest in peace and may those they left behind find their own peace and happiness.

    Respectfully
