    UPS Cuts Jobs

UPS is reorganizing its Supply Chain Solutions division, which includes unspecified job losses, according to published reports this week.

According to newspaper reports, the company is laying off workers as it digests recent acquisitions. The reductions will primarily focus on the Supply Chain Solutions division.

"There's no target number," said Susan Rosenberg, a UPS spokeswoman, as quoted by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "We're still in the evaluation process. The net result will be some reduction, but I don't know what that number is because it hasn't been determined."

Rosenberg told the paper the Supply Chain Solutions layoffs will take place among "management, administrative and technical" workers, but its services and deliveries won't change.

"We constantly look for ways to align the organization more effectively," she told the paper. "We've found some redundancies."
