Just a busy last few weeks in aviation?

Is it me or does it seem the last 2 weeks in particular were just full of aviation incidents, after a long calm of not hearing about anything happening.

    There was the Comair crash
    Cirrus crash
    US gear fire

weren't there a few other incidents? Just a seems like a lot after a long calm.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

There are so many GA accidents just like the cirrus ones that happen everyday--the media just wants to scare the public on reporting a plane crash after a major commercial one. Just another month at the office from an insurance standpoint

EDIT: Just read about a US Airways Express Saab 340 veering of a taxiway in PIT (no injuries). Maaaaaaybe you're right about a busy month!

These things seem to happen in bunches.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    yeah, the sailplane.

and now the jet in Iran which caught fire.

RDU-JFK, true, I read about them all the time in Business and Commercial Aviation Magazine. But the one nice thing about the media is that the Cirrus one will be held in a positive light, regarding the parachute. :)

That's perhaps is the biggest tragedy this week, LOL j/k

I think we perceive these things happen all at once because the media grabs onto every air incident that happens once something major takes place.

For some of the incidents, I agree it's the media grabbing on. But the Comair crash and Iran incident would have made the news anyway. Maybe the US wheel fire, too.
