    LGA's AA 757s

i've noticed that every time an AA 757 rolls down our runways it's always RB211 powered. why don't they bring thier pratt-powered birds up here? are they reengining them with RBs?
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

I thought I read somewhere that once the lease is up on the ex-TWA 757's, AA wants to get rid of them.

All of the PW ones are as you know ex TWA 757's, and they are STL based usually, since we don't have any STL-LGA on 757, thats why its rare to see them.

ex TWA 757's also fly to DFW, LAS, CUN and YYZ from STL or DFW.

It is true the lease are coming up soon, I believe around 2007, and its also rumored DL will take those ex TWA 757 for their intl flights using the 757.

They used to come in all the time a few years ago and as for the getting rid of them it is comfirmed Delta will take ten from AA and supposedly with those airplanes will be joining the "bent wing club" (getting winglets) for the hops across the pond with them.

I do recall seeing those scheduled 757 ex TWA coming from STL when we had 757's to LGA, do you guys have 757 from DFW as well?

Very nice to see that DL picked them up, I hope they take good care of the, the ex TWA 757 interior was FAR better then AA's 757's.

So we'll see Delta 757s with winglets?
    Sounds like it Phil!

Yes DL will be putting winglets on them, we may very well have a good chance of seeing them at JFK. Oh and yes I'll be doubly excited to see a wingleted 757 at JFK and know it was a TW bird returning home!

Sorry guys but the Rolls Royce 757's look and especially sound way more sexy. In fact of all the scheduled LGA every day aircraft the RR powered AA 757's have by far my favorite sound effects !

    Cheers
