Was driving pass EWR yesterday and saw it.
The only flight info I could find is NWA 9849 from Schiphol.
Not sure if it was a charter.
Can anyone else tell me more about the flight?

Might have been a sub for KLM?
no the KLM flight ran today as an A-330 it was probably a charter flight of some sort

Looks like it was a charter from Alexandria via Schipol.
Alexandria Egypt? I would say maybe cruise ship charter but then they could have flown them back to the US nonstop.
I'm thinking maybe it was a military charter.
N226NW flew from AMS to EWR on the 12th and then flew to BCN carrying the F.C. Barcelona futbal team. She departed later for MSP.

It was quiet a surprise in BCN.
That makes sense, FC Barcelona played the Red Bulls at the Meadowlands on Saturday night. Apparently drew a big crowd! Still wonder why it was coming from Alexandria though.
That was a previous charter flight, probably for the military.
