I was the controller working them in at ISP. JBU176 was the first arrival. He held for 45 min and then diverted here. Inbd from SEA. The 2nd one was JBU24 from TPA. Both planned to refuel and depart to JFK when the TS blow past.

ISP tower closes at midnight. We were open when they landed, but not when one of them left. (One of my co-workers said one of them was still on the ground when he got to work at 6 am)

Wow. Did they bus the passengers to JFK?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

From what I understand a lot of the customers had someone pick them up from ISP.The remaining were taken by taxi to JFK as busses were not available. I believe they all recieved some sort of travel voucher for inconvienience
