    ATIS man...where'd you go?!

Does anyone know why LGA ATIS has been down for the past week or so? I call everyday like clockwork while I'm on the 7, or anytime I'm bored. (I call the ATIS guy my other boyfriend) <---before anyone tries to be a smart ass, I'm well aware that it's not a real person.

Anyway, like I said, it's just been a dead line for about a week. What gives?

    Ron?! ;)

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Matt....this has been going on for at least a week. I've tried several times and from Phil's phone, too. Did they change the number or something?

Looks like maybe they discontinued the "phone ATIS" service? Airnav used to have a number for the ATIS but it's no longer there.
Best you might get is the WX ASOS: 718-672-6317
If you find a number for the ATIS, be sure to share! Thanks Mel!

I've been stuck calling the JFK ATIS, which has been working. I don't like that guy though...he has too much to say, and talks much slower than LGA. ;)

Hey,Rose you're not calling ATIS your calling a Weather Observation or Aviation Weather service made for LGA. Without the ATIS planes could not take off from LGA.

I am calling ATIS, actually. I just think there is something wrong with the phone # I am calling. I am not claiming that ATIS is down, just the # I am calling.

The # is no longer published on the AirNav profile of LGA. Perhaps they turned it off for security reasons?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

See, that's the only explanation I could think of, but why just LGA? JFK worked last time I checked...just a couple days ago.

The number on AirNav has been gone for nearly a year that I know of.

I hoped it wouldn’t come to this...but he changed his number, Mel. You see, we are in love and he really didn't know how to break it off with you. He thought you might get angry; possibly homicidal even suicidal, so you see he changed his number and we now live together on a boat in flushing bay.
Oh the glorious days we spend discussing weather and conditions; him with a monotone drawl, and me laughing laughing laughing. Sometimes we even take a motor carriage up to the country where we picnic and debate issues of the day. I recently held the opinion that President Hoover was over stepping his bounds regarding new railway legislation, but not ole' ATIS, he thinks he's just dandy! Oh what gay days! Gay and happy and bright!!

    ……So bored at work :?

I just peed my pants...yes, right here in my office, at my desk.

You're hilarious - come back to NY...my OTHER boyfriend misses you. ;)

(and I don't think you've texted everyday like you're supposed to)
