    Dam I wish I was off on friday!! The practice show last year was much better then the real show!

    I am off Friday the 26th, Will be heading over for the Practice Airshow, If it is anything like last year you should have the beach to yourself.
    It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

    Thursday may 25th from 7am to 10am the Blue angels with be doing their photo flight over and around the city.

    From noon to 2:45 the Heritage flight including F-15, F-16, A-10 and P-51 will be doing their photo shoot over the city and as previously mentioned the Statue of liberty.

    For those of you who are off get your cameras ready, I want to see some Pics!!

    we'll see what happens. I might just want to see their arrival. Might even try to shoot from our skylight in the office, or even the roof LOL
    And I, I took the path less traveled by
    and that has made all the difference......yet...
    I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

    Does anyone know their take off time from FRG for that Friday? I think I'll have to take my lunch then.

    Friday they are doing a full practice show at the beach, so I would check the website for the Sat and Sun time slots of each demo.

    They will be doing thier practice show at the same time as they will be doing the real show (2:15). My guess for takeoff time on Friday would be around 2:00.

    How is the light for photography? I would think that it's backlit with the sun to the south and the planes over the water, no?

    depending on the angle of the aircraft, you should be able to get some good light.

    I agree, the lighting isn't bad. Hope for bright sun, blue skies, try different angles as the day passes, you should have some good shots. As soon as I get a new computer, you will have an abundant amout of my photos. :D

    It looks like I'll be doing Saturday and Sunday, but I don't have a place to stay Saturday night... :-(
