    A-10 Flyby over Shea Stadium

I was coming home early from work this afternoon and watching rwy 13 departures, when all of the sudden I heard some low, loud engines directly overhead coming fromt he east. I looked up and saw four A-10s in formation going towards Shea Stadium for Opening Day, and doing that sweet coordinated left turn due south.

Their engines sound just like airliners....but four of them in proximity that the FAA might not agree with.

Yea the A-10's aren't that loud. They are pretty much slow tanks in the air...

I was at the game, I'll have to check tonight to see how my pictures came out. It was a little tough, not much time to set up and shoting against the clouds, but we'll see.

BTW, I was at the Mets preseason workout on Sunday. Beautiful weather, and Expressway Visual 31 at LGA - I got the Pink Song!

I friggin missed it thanks to the stupid traffic. :(
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
