    US RetroJet Update

Some interesting news today re the three US A-319 retrojets. From cactuswingsnews US has applied to have the following 3 319's re-registed.

    N742US to N742PS (PSA)
    N744US to N744P (Piedmont)
    N745UW to N745VJ (Allegeheny)

This is not something I had expected, but love it, keep in mind nothing official announced by US !

These 3 319's are non-overwater aircraft which means they will be on the Shuttle very frequently.

Still hearing painting around early March, will update when I here something, at least now we know the aircraft numbers !

    Cheers

that's great!! can't wait to see the EN bird!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Actually the original Piedmont was PI, EN is the current US Express Piedmont, two very different animals !

I can't believe the luck we are getting at LGA with all of these changes US Airways is making. Scheme after scheme, first the Star Alliance and now these precious birds.

    I'm really excited.

Darn, Ari, that was hardly the signature design for Allegheny you want to see ...

That would probably have about as much sympathy as seeing the tan Mohawk colors resurrected.. ... But too each his own of course.. :)

Seriously though, thanks for the info Ron. LGA is going to high on my priority list this spring/summer. :D
