    Russian Aviation

    I was just reminded this weekend about how much I love Russian aviation.

    regarding the an-72 or 42, I forget the correct one, was there a benefit to having its engines placed atop its droop wing?

    Also, what russian aircraft, if any, are routine into the NY area?
    And I, I took the path less traveled by
    and that has made all the difference......yet...
    I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

    the engines were on top of the wing to give extra lift and to avod FOD
    Overheard on JFK TOWER - S Turns are fine, U-Turns are bad....

    it's the an-72.
    it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
