    question on flights to dca

when your on a flight to dca how come there was a rule saying you couldn't stand no matter what even to go the bathroom?
"Regardless of where you go or what you do with the rest of your life,
you can always know that when fate chose
you for the ultimate test, you were not found wanting".

That rule doesn't apply any longer if I'm correct. It was put in place after 9/11 to ensure nobody attempted to hi-jack the aircraft

the rule is to not congregate in the front of the plane, even if you are waiting to go to the bathroom.

After 9-11 a rule was put into effect that passangers on flights into and out of DCA had to remain seated for the first or last 30 minutes of the flight. However, this was recently lifted and now its just like any other flight.

    30 minute rule

You might think it was the entire flight because flights to/from NY are only about 35 minutes, which would indeed mean the rule would be in effect for the entire flight.

The ridiculous nature of such a rule would be on a flight lasting about 1:05 to 1:10, in which there would only be 5 to 10 minutes in which passengers could use the restrooms--I could imagine how a rush like that would be!

It is good to see they finally did away with such a rule.
    It's the fares, stupid

ISP... the flights are planned to take about an hour, including all taxi times but actual flight time is only about 30-40 minutes.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
