What a great way to start the day!

going south on 110 on the way to the office and

    against a beautiful clear sky,

the all white Express.net 727 had just taken off, in a low trajectory, over the west hills park area, probably all full of horseys and flying over horseys in West hills.

Look up at the sky today guys and enjoy the day.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...

Nice! I got to shoot that thing! Very windy today. No spotting for me. Had to be a nice sight Mario. I was on SS one day when that bird came right by on short final. Good stuff.

Today was a great day for spotting planes! Over my school today a Allegiant MD-83 came over very low on aproach as well as two C-5s and a C-130 all very low on aproach to Newburgh (SWF)

Also when I was playing soccer I happened to look up and there was a B747-400, very low for flying over Poughkeepsie on its way to JFK, and it had a huge contrail and it was passing through the sky with beautiful light, clouds, and sky around it!

How I wish I had my camera!

Once and a while we can get a nice pic oppurtunity here in the Huntington/east northport area. I've also figured out that my house is lined up perfectly with the approach to rwy 19 at Farmingdale, so once and a while i get a few low ones on thier way there. But of course, when i actually borrow a camera with a good lens from my photo class in school, i stand outside for 2+ hours and see nothing. zip-zero-nada. Once i get my license i am soooo joining you guys on a spotting outing somewhere.

So we're neighbors. I'm just off 110, jsut west of 110 actually.

    re: jfk arrivals
Usually when I notice them, they are just starting their western turn and showing me their bellies.

not sure what runway I'm aligned with but Suinday mornings at our place must have been like what WWII was. We get the old birds just taking off right over us. Pleasant awakenings!
