Ill try to catch it but going to the terminal 8 on the parking deck. To go by bike.. to COLD!
Dennis if you ride your bike today you are my hero!
Damn! I knew that once I got in my truck this morning I should have made the turn south to NYC instead of west for Hartford. Happy hunting guys!
Looks like Turkish Soccer team is 53 mins out too.
Yup.. .and as per Eric, quite a few other nice visitors so far.
Arrgghh Sunday dinner with my family! ill miss it.. sorry guys! :(
Astrojet?
And number 9 just went by as the sun came out and she looked beautiful.
Looking forward to seeing your pics guys!
Astrojet?? Seriously???? WTF?!?!!?!? I definitely should have come to JFK today :frown:. I guess its a good thing I didn't though or else you guys wouldn't have gotten these specials since it seems I usually chase them away when I come down lately. lol
Im still im too much pain to be out, I pulled something on my right side pretty bad, i would have toughed it out but saw too many clouds ! Cant wait to see your pics guys
Damn I was thinking to maybe go home for couple days.... But then Im thinking: looks like crazy cold in NY, weather sucks I,m not going....
It was a darn cold and windy day. Thank goodness they were on the 31s, I don't know if I would have braved the mounds. Sitting in a nice warm car felt much better. Photo's to follow shortly.

Wow nice shots! I love that HDR shot - you have a few of my faves in one frame.
Astrojet definitely doesn't come to NY often and when she does, it is not always in great weather or time. I got very lucky last time I saw her at JFK in February 4th since I had missed her on the 3rd :-( She graced us again the next day for me to grab a snap. I saw her twice in one day at KMIA last October but always too far away
Nice catches! Too bad the skies were less than desirable conditions.
Eric, that HDR is one of the best aviation HDRs I've ever seen. Great stuff.
Truly... great HDR... the skies helped :-) I barely made it for the arrival of the F1...

Manny went and did it!
Was at the Marina just enjoying nice shooting conditions when she popped in. I didn't check ACARS for that afternoon so I was happy to be surprised.

I like it, but why would you take the color out of a subject with such nice colors.
Eric, the reason I picked this one should be obvious  It is heavily backlit, the dark side has little data in it and boosting the colors would only push noise ... so I just used the luminance channel in L*a*b
Manny, any artificial blurring here, or did you just stop way down to f/4?

Here are some of mine........even though it was a cloudy day, the sun popped out at the right time. Nice stuff Eric and Manny!

Wow! Fantastic photos!
Antonis, even at f/4 it would not have been that shallow at infinity  Totally fake... it was shot at f/8 Here is a better look at the scene as it really looked!

Mark you're always welcome to use any of my lenses or gear. Thanks for the heads up on the El-Al Olympic nose
DL Breast Cancer was also there.
I've seen Etihad Formula 1 a couple of times now - has anyone noticed that when EY brings a 346 instead of the usual 345, it's almost always F1? Don't know if I've ever seen a shot of an Etihad 346 at JFK that wasn't this one.
Great work guys .. Beautiful shots as always
I am pretty sure that 1/16/2012 was also a non-Grand Prix A346
Nice, Manny. The "fake" depth-of-field looks quite good. I think it's time Nikon made a 200-400 f/1.4 for you!
TIS
A 200-400 f1.4, if such a thing were ever to exist, would need to be mounted on a jazzy or similar vehicle
You guys are balls to the wall talented. Nice stuff there!!!
And you are balls to the wall for bravin' those temps!!!'
