President Obama and Vice President Biden will be in town for separate events in Manhattan on Thursday.
Obama will be giving a speech on Wall Street, while Biden will be making an appearance on "The View."
Will post TFRs when they are published.

That probably explains the C-130 that took off from Kennedy around 10AM today.
doubt that, the limos and helos are either C-17 or C-5 transported. a C-130 is a bit small for that task.Quote:

I would imagine 747 and helos at JFK plus C-17s for the limos, and 757 or smaller at LGA with the VP. If I read the advisories correctly it's Biden at LGA at 0800 local and Obama at JFK 0900. Makes sense?
This from Gridlock sam in NY Daily News and hes pretty much in the know.....Quote:

From what I read it seems likes AF2 will be at LGA sometime after 9AM cause thats when the restrictions take effect and AF1 after 10AM. I remember from when I started working at T7 last year. There were several AF1 sightings and the restrictions took effect 10-15 minutes before the actual arrival. So figuring all this i'd say an actual ground time will be 9:15-30 for AF2 and 10:15-30 for AF1. Expecting 31R as main for AF1 (unless wind says otherwise) and I have no clue for AF2. H3 for AF1 as since bay runway is closed they wont be going to H19. As for my locations I will be heading T7 for AF1 like I did for my 1st AF1 shot that is on site. As for AF2 unless its going rwy 4 i'll need a good location within 200mm.
All right! Thanks, that is very useful indeed. I'll most likely be at LGA for the Biden arrival and JFK for AF1 departure. Subject to weather...Quote:

Rats. I need to find a spot now within 200mm. Anybody got any ideas?Quote:

Alright glad thats cleared now.
LGA is landing on 22 right now, no good. Hopefully someone will have better luck at JFK. More sun this morning than expected, which is good.
I am going to try for JFK but I am leaving late. Hope to make it in time for arrival. -Fred
Got up at 6 and yes, it was hazy indeed -- I called the JFK ATIS which poetically said there was "mist". Nicer sounding than haze but still an unphotographable soup of humid smoggy crapness, so I bagged my expedition to LGA/JFK and set up shop on my roofdeck waiting for at least Biden.
He showed up on time but totally backlit, and the haze is really awful. Here's the result:

I hope whoever did go to the airport managed to get better shots than mine!

 Obama and Biden to Celebrate Earth Day by Tying Up New York Air Traffic
Both the President and Vice President visit New York for separate events on Thursday, likely causing massive disruption in the air and on the ground.
Well wingletted C-32 8002 departed 31 at LGA around 1435L bound for Andrews. Caused very little if any delays, and btw the blue actually looked a little faded !
Cheers

You're welcome. Good job!!!
Does this mean that I am now classified as a tree hugger??? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!
i can certainly understand the need to keep these two people on separate airplanes, especially following what just happened in Katyn... but doing so on earth day is simply RETARDED!!
I attended a panel and talk of Attorney General Eric Holder earlier this afternoon at Vassar College. I wonder if he flew up with the big boys and was driven off to SWF afterward?
FYI the History Channel showed "Secret Access:Air Force One" tonite. One showing already but a second at
Midnite tonite. Sorry for the late heads up. Not sure if this is new or not.

Nice shots, Sam!
Nice shots. Looks like Air Force 2 arrived 22 at LGA. Air Force 1 probaby arrived JFK on Rwy 31R any confirmation of its arrival time?
Air Force 1 arrived at JFK at 11:05AM last Thursday and then departed around 1:10PM.
The pictures of that are located on a different thread hereQuote:

Which runways were used for arrival and departure for Air Force One?
31 R for arrival and 13L for departure
That was already covered in the link posted above
