NYCAviation Event at Dave & Busters - March 6th!

A fun time for NYCAers to get together is approaching! Enjoy an evening of food, drinks and playing games into the night (including the airliner game)! We'll also have a free flight raffle!

6:30ish - Dinner and raffle!
7:45ish - Let the games begin!

Just a bunch of aviation enthusiasts enjoying an evening together. You don't have to be a member here to come...just bring your appetite and be ready to play! You can also bring friends or significant others.
As for dinner, you don't need to show up for drinks if you don't want to. For planning purposes, we need to request the right-sized table when we arrive, so reply here or email me at [email protected] to RSVP.

FREE FLIGHT RAFFLE
Our friends at Nassau Flyers will be in attendance to draw names out of a hat and see who will win a Free Flight Challenge! You'll get a certificate that allows you to schedule your first flight with NFI at no cost or obligation....but you may fall in love with it...hence the challenge.

Ten winners among the attendees will be selected to receive a very unique 787-related memento!

Heh that sounds sweet although i'll prob give the prize to my bro since he is training to be a pilot atm. With NFI to say. Btw I got no comments on my contest. Air hockey and the old 8 player racing game they got. Prizes are open for debate. What I was planning was winner of each gets $20 added to their card (more flight sim time) :mrgreen: Though there is a $5 entry fee.

Hmm now it all depends on if I can get a day off swap for mar 6. If I can i'm there if not i'm SOL

I get home from a 2 week trip on the 4th--may actually be able to make it plus one.....daughter will be home from school but probably not coming....

Assuming their is not a major snowstorm on Saturday I might actually try and make this one, but cannot convince Mrs LGA777 to join. Hope to see many of you on Saturday.

ok so 630 is dinner and raffle. I will make if, jut not sure what time and dunno if with or without family. But dont start the raffle without us since we do want to put in for it.

If coming with family, they'll prob leave me there and I'll need a ride home.

Do they still close the place off to kids over 21 after 8 or 9 pm? I know they did that years ago. but not sure if it was when they were ...ah, Jillian's (thanks highheels!)

No they dont close it off. They just completely close. I think its 10:30? Not exactly sure.

Unless something changed, they stay open much later than 1030. It would be a waste to serve alcohol if they are closed that early.

Friday and Saturdays they are open till 1am
As far as I know they did away with the closing the place to kids after a certain hour as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
I believe the age to get in unaccompanied is 18.

FYI, I have to mention this disclaimer, I would love for our younger members to come and have fun, but if you want to stay late, you're welcome to bring a parent or adult to supervise. I'm unable to be responsible.

Also, please drink responsibly! I don't want anyone to get hurt or arrested.

This is probably a long shot but if anyone is flying into KFRG for this event and needs a place to tie down, please contact us and we'll try and work something out!

I am trying to attend, but her majesty my little princess is arriving home from Georgetown Saturday evening and as much as I like you guys, I would much rather see my daughter :wink:
