Delta runs the 744 from ATL to HNL...
AA runs the 777 on the following MIA-LAX and ORD-DFW. UAL has the 777 on ORD-HNL, not sure if they still have 747 domestic routes anymore. Its not Domestic but you also can do a 773 from JFK to YVR on Cathay, the service is fantastic. Free booze and hot meals in coach.
Phil, I am also trying to get a 777 or 747 domestic...it's proven a pain to pull off.
I know UA does 777's ORD-SFO, ORD-LAX, IAD-DEN; and DL does ATL-LAX and I think ATL-DTW on a T7. I've been trying to get on a T7 somehow on my east coast trip in the spring, but I haven't found one yet. I think the domestic heavies are only through the spring or winter.
Continental runs 777's to IAH
From JFK we have Delta flying the 777 to ATL every Sunday and back on Monday. For a sample Sunday and Monday sojourn in January, the fare is $259 r/t. Not bad.
I think UAL does HNL-ORD with a 744...
Great info, guys, thanks!
Aren't some of them "revenue ferries" where the airline need to reposition the plane and just sells tickets on it anyway for a few extra bucks?
Not anymore unfortunately. ATL-HNL is an A330-300. Delta flies the 777-200ER and 777-200LR on ATL-LAX, ATL-JFK, and ATL-DTW. I personally think Phil should hop on the next Delta 777 to ATL so we can put him through the rigors of a Delta simulator tour. BYOB = bring your own barf bag.Quote:

Therefore, you may get a seat in the Business Class cabin on a coach ticket. If you have elite status, you can book a business class seat when you purchase your ticket. If you don't, you can request a seat on the day of departure. A few years ago, AA operated the 777 on the MIA-JFK route so I flew down on a 762 and upgraded to First on the 777 on the way back. It was quite a treat to have a flat bed on such a short flight.
ISP Pilot, to add onto your post, American is operating the 777 on JFK-SDQ-JFK on Saturdays only.
Thanks but according to aa.com, AA will be operating the 777 daily JFK-SDQ from Dec 17 - Jan 4, not just Saturdays.Quote:

Sorry about that, I thought I had read somewhere that American would be having a 777 flight year round on Saturdays but it now looks like it will just be a second daily flight for the holiday rush, in addition to the year round 767-300.
No prob. I believe in the past, there was a BOS-SDQ Saturday only flight that was a 777 iirc.Quote:

UA flies the 777 on the IAD-SFO route. That was a 744 a few months ago, no idea when if/when it'll come back though.
Nice. And welcome aboard, Dan!Quote:

Now if you want to try your luck Quantas does JFK/LA (forgot code) xD then over to SYD. if your lucky you will fly on Wutan dreaming (again forgot exact name). It comes in on occasion. Its a 747-400. Lucky me i got shots of it :borat:
Thanks! Been lurking for awhile, happy to finally be posting. :DQuote:

UA did this for March 2-28th for spring break. Keep an eye out and see if UA schedules the 747 again, fi so you can probably try to book it or non rev.
Alex
highly doubt it will come to JFK. they only send in the 757. If your lucky there will be a 777 at night.
That is a shame. I was glad to be on flight DL802/803, first class. It was outstanding!Quote:

Yea cathay is expensive. But from what i hear its really great service. I also hear that if they sell out first class they break even for that flight.Quote:
