Great coverage of the F-15s Bill. I saw the formation fly overhead heading southwest as I stepped out of the bus.

a story that either makes me laugh, wince or want to shake my head.
I see they departed in trail, but did they quick climb (vertical climb) the departure or fly the standard
departure procedure with a rejoin on the climbout?

PS: When we spotted at old Nagoya airport, during the entire 3 day spotting, the Japanese F15s & F16s were taking off and climbing vertical 10k feet and it was such a contrast to see a 744 or even a 777 lumber after a Strike Eagle climb!
4th Fighter Wing, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC, and they are Active Duty, not ANG. In fact, on the third departure shot, you can see the "334 FS" (Fighter Squadron) markings on the tail.Quote:
