IT'S BBQ TIME ONCE AGAIN!

After LGA Kid's Day, you are welcome to join us in Astoria for the grilling of animal flesh on a flame pit and consumption of response-time decelerating beverages.

September 26 at 6:00pm! For the address, please PM or email me.

This year's event will be very relaxed and informal. BBQ, beers, beer pong, cards, and cornhole (click to learn), into the night.

Bring guests if you'd like as always. This event will be BYOB, and all are welcomed and urged to bring food and snacks as well, so if you will be contributing, please reply with what you intend to bring so we can all plan accordingly. Burgers, dogs, buns, chips, beer, dip, etc., in addition to what we will be providing.

Because of the liability due to the presence of alcohol, I am sorry to say that members under 18 will not be allowed, and no one under 21 will be allowed to touch any alcoholic beverage.

Unfortunately, because of time constraints in regards to planning and other pending projects, we will not have a raffle this year.

As long as weather allows, there will be games, fun, laughs and good times!

Upon requesting the address by PM, let us know if you need directions via public transportation.

Please drink responsibly and plan your commute home accordingly if you plan on drinking.

Be aware that this event is taking place on private party at someone's residence. Behave accordingly and respectfully.

Darn - no raffle this year??? :( And I can't get up there for it again...oh well...

I know, I love the raffles, too. We're just late in the planning and we are unable to gather prizes and coordinate.

Did you say Astoria?..well..at least thats near LGA..hmm.

The location in Astoria is literally right off the Grand Central and BQE for travelers by car. VERY close to LGA.

Yep, it's literally a 5 minute drive from the western end of LGA, which is, of course, where everyone should be for Kids Day. :)

Wow this looks like a ton of fun. Right now I don't see a way, but I will keep it in the back of my head.

Hi. I was just wondering if there would be more postcards of our organization available? I would like to promote our org. Thanks. I wonder if its walkable distance from the airport. Is the kids day by the Marine Air Terminal?(how 2 get there is also what im wondering?)

It's "walkable" from the airport, but I wouldn't recommend it.

If you need some promo cards, I'll bring some along. :)

Let's keep our fingers crossed about the late September weather. Remember last years' was canceled due to reports of harsh weather ( which never materialized). Incidentally, there's a shuttle bus to take us to the MAT at LGA. It's too far to walk from the CTA. I know since I have no car. This is what is stopping me from going plane spotting. I used to take a taxi out from Brooklyn to Rwy 22L at JFK by Rockaway Blvd only to see that JFK switched arrivals to Rwy 31R.

What will you be wearing at Kids Day? At the last Kids Day in 2007, I saw many enthusiasts but I couldn't tell who is from this great group. I'll probably wear either my British Concorde tee or my Air Force One tee. What will you guys be wearing?

It was a good, relaxing time. Glad those who came were able to make it, and we missed and had an beer or seven for those who were unable to attend.
