the worst part for them is they held for well over an hour and a half before diverting and then had to wait 45 minutes for a gate when they finally got to EWRQuote:

My school is located under the arrivals flight path so anything on approach to the airport flies over. That's how I knew about the KC-10 and in the past one of the white C-32s and other special military visitors.
Haha, do you ever pay attention in class?Quote:

Hey Guys,
This is big news! I was surfing for flights on AA.com and I noticed that Stewart was added again on their route map. I hope this is good news! I am so excited. I will definately fly out of SWF again if they come back! I will monitor this very closely!
~Anthony
Sometimes it's hard for the entire class to pay attention when the noise of a C-5 drowns out the teacher! Paying attention is more of an issue for me on the soccer field or the tennis court, always looking up. :)
Are you sure that it was ever taken off?Quote:

I just read into your previous note, do you play tennis? For what school? I play for Marlboro
I wonder if it was accidentally put back on

EVER!
I am not sure if that "EVER!" is sarcastic or not. But they will never return. My friend was the supervisor for Eagle and she confirmed the same.

That's a shame, AA was the first carrier at SWF. Maybe they'll pull a Delta and come back two years down the road.
If you recall, Delta halted their SWF service at the end of Summer, 2005 and returned to SWF in the Spring of 2007.
In fact, I think Delta has been in and out of SWF other times as well. Might have been a 9/11 thing.
As being an American Platinum member and being only 17 years old, all my flights out of SWF would be on American for years. I didn't mind a connection. I would fly them both for business and pleasure trips. A business airline like American cannot charge leisure trips. I flew to Atlanta just before they pulled out connecting in Chicago I paid $234 with American while Delta had nonstop for $228. See what I mean? It definately was the competition. I remember when there was no direct Atlanta service I paid double what I paid this August. I hope they return. I have 4 trips coming up, that I still have to book, but HPN is my only option.
They may, give it time. They (PANYNJ) are trying to expand SWF, and that may have AA crawling back.
I sure hope so.

Skybus Had problems the first day, b/c of the jet way. The Jet way was configured to a small American Eagle and hot a A319.

Yeah apparently the A319 was parked too close to the terminal.Quote:
