Some very nice shots, Rafal. Makes me want to get down to MIA even more!
Although what happened to the tail of my Iberia A340-600?!
Re: My Florida trip (Nov 2007)
Nice to see many foreign and cargo airlines at MIA. Great Job Rafal.
Re: My Florida trip (Nov 2007)
Senga,
As you can see I've got my Varig LOG 757. That was my highlight of the day.
And Iberia picture came like that because I wasn't paying attention what was coming in. When I saw it I started running like hell to the other side of the street, but when I got there I still couldn't fit it in my lens :)
More pictures will follow shortly.

Great shots Rafal - it seems like I'll have to make the trek down there one weekend to catch all this good stuff! Looking forward to the rest!
Re: My Florida trip (Nov 2007)
Great shots! You got luckt with the SB757, it's not often that it comes out during the day.

Re: My Florida trip (Nov 2007)
who does that Shorts-30 belong to? Why's it have an ED tail code?
Re: My Florida trip (Nov 2007)
Nice shots Rafal,
I see they moved A LOT of stuff around since my last visit. I never get any special visitors when I visit OPF.
That white "Russian" aircraft you told me about earlier..that a dornier 328.
Matt,
Those USAF C-23s were based at Edwards AFB 412th Test Wing.
Rafals was regisered as 83-0513.
I shot mine at (MKE) Milwaukee in 1999,2000 or so.

Re: My Florida trip (Nov 2007)
wow Rafal some great stuff! That AA DC-7 and the EAL bird are awesome catches. I'd love to see them in person.

Great shots Rafal.... I see FL remains the last refuge of Convair props still....
Great stuff with the DC-7s. Three of them? The AA still flies right? EA being restored?
That old Shorts was a surprise too.

Wait that AA DC-7 is at MIA along with the EAL bird?

Re: My Florida trip (Nov 2007)
Actually there are two DC-7s and one DC-6. Tommy, if you stop by Opa Locka make sure to go to the gate near the terminal. There is security guard right next to the entrance to GA ramp. Just go and ask if you can walk and take pictures of those DC-7s. We did and he took us in his golf cart around entire ramp. In the worst case he will tell you that you have to walk, but I'm sure he will let you roam around.
Yes, Florida is one of the last places where you can find so many Convairs. (another comes to mind is Reckenbacker Field in Columbus Ohio). For the full list of stuff from OPF you can check my log posted in Registration forum. We were running out of time so me missed few frames.

Yeah they regularly fly cargo runs to the Bahamas. The blue and yellow one does also.
