...pretty bad last night. The 4th toe (next to the big one). its bruised on the "knuckle" but no major swelling. Hurts to walk. Anyone have any home treatment remedies? I'm not sure a doctor can do much about it...

Happened to me once.

But seriously, if the bruise itself is tender, then you might just have to wait for it to heal. If areas of the toe outside of the bruise hurts, there is a slight chance it can be broken. Many people break their toes and never realize it.
I'd wait a few days and see if it improves at all. Little swelling is a good sign though.
In the past when I did something like that, I would ice it down & then rub some Vitaim E & Aloe Vera gel on it.....Quote:

I usually break into a cold sweat for a few moments. Then the pain simmers down a notch in about 4 minutes then I try to walk around on it as much as possible. If I'm still in pain at the end of the hour, Tiger Balm.
If at the end of 2 hours, which hasn't happened yet (knocks wood), I see a podiatrist.
Do you carry that in your purse, there, Mike :DQuote:

With regard to your limping, Jeffery said he will assist you with regaining your limp upon return to the tower. :mrgreen:Quote:

Im sure your toe will heal, the captain toe will leave no man behind :D
Thanks for the advice and sympathy, all. While it still hurts the swelling has gone down. Still black and blue like no other but I think the 'needle' post to drain the blood scared me into making the pain go away LOL.
So you had the hiccups? Scared it away eh?
