Why were they sold?
This has been taleked about for a few months.
jetBlue announced as part of its turn around plan some months ago it would slow expansion, delay delivery of new aircraft, and lastly sell some of its older aircraft. I'm not sure I agree that selling older aircraft is a good long term fix, it seems more of a short term fix.
Let's hope MR. ADHD keeps the airline on track. Eiutherway I think B6 is on its way to one day surpassing WN (wishful thinking)
More like delusional thinking!! LOL j/k I'm sure some said back in the 70s when WN was flying around with a few planes they might one day become the largest Carrier in the U.S, and some said "No way." Today they are, based on number of passengers boarded.Quote:

I came accross this JBU A320 at JFK without titles...It flew past me 3 days ago and saw it again today. Phil says it has been sold. Sold to who?

Senga
What a great catch, Senga. :)
Very nice catch Senga. Apparently they will go to Vueling.
Saw that bird when I when I arrived back from Richmond on Friday. Was in a car and did not have the camera at the ready...but as usual Senga comes through.
JB N507JB is now parked at BDL for unknown reason.
Cheers!

Thanks!

Maybe they're taking the very scenic route to Spain. :)
For all you bradley spotters you should see both 507 and 508 there for a day or two starting tomorrow 9-29
saw it parked in the B6 hangar on wed when i departed JFK... which by the way was the coolest departure i've ever had from there....
JB ship 508 just joined her sister ship 507 at BDL right now.

But there is another white tailed plane in the B6 hangar. They just moved it in, off the tarmac, at around 11:15 am. Does anyone have any information on this third aircraft?
Steve
they are all going to Veuling as far as I know and the number is 5 being sold from what a few people have told me. It is weird to see such young birds going out of the fleet already.
With these leaving the fleet, have 320 deliveries been frozen (643 was the last one received?), or this airline now like a pigeon, with airplanes coming out as fast as they're going in?
weve actually put i think 529 back in service... flying around w/ a white tail and im small lettering underneath the door (operated by jetblue airways)... this is the one we sold w/ out an apu..
I saw one today landing on 13L, I took a shot but you can't make out the reg. The aircraft had a white tail and the blue bottom.
The correct reg number on the AC you have seen flying around with the white tail is 526. Shoukd be here at JFK for another week or so. Currently it is a spare AC and sitting at PZ.
526 is still around for those trying to get a shot of her.

To all you bradley observers you should see Ac 526-527 and 531 there sometime tomorrow AM. This completes the five sold AC.
