Is it my imagination or are 126 and 127 really close together, and believe me I think it's a good thing? Hard to believe we are living the twighlight of the Shuttles career.
Thanks for posting Gerard, I did not know.
Cheers

Nope not your imagination. In fact 127 was on duty as a "Rescue Shuttle" ready to launch in case there was
trouble during 126s mission with the Hubble telescope.
Is florida time 5 hrs behind UK time ?
If it is then the shuttle will take off 12.17pm UK time.
126 (the Hubble mission) was delayed from October-ish when something else broke right before they were about to fly. It took a while to build the new part, develop a procedure, and train it, so the flight was pushed back. 127 I think was always scheduled to go around this time.
With this in mind I might extend this Florida extravaganza one extra day because afterall who needs to come home to see their great aunt and uncle. lol
Launch postponed: Hydrogen leak.
For at least 96 hours and even then there is a range conflict because a satellite is being launched from the Cape onQuote:

Postponed again: Another leak during fueling.
They will try again July, 11 @ 7:45PM EST.Quote:
