USAirways Pittsburgh Steelers A-319 is here !

Fresh out of the paint shop in ROW, US A-319 N733UW arrived in CLT this afternoon and our friend Jay Selman was onhand at the hangar for the arrival. Love it or hate it here she is !

Appropriately she is scheduled to pass thru PIT twice tomorrow (8-30) and I will post her first couple of LGA visits, so far not until Labor Day but that could easily change, I don't have any days off this weeks so I will monitor closely.

N717UW ferried to ROW last night for painting into the Carolina Panthers scheme, have seen the renderings, kind of like the Eagles but with more white fuselage (unfortunately) a nice blue tail, and a pretty mean looking Panther on the aft fuselage !

This is an East bird, which is why it was delivered to CLT.

All you have to do besides the reg to know if it is an east or west is look at the engines. the east uses the CFM while the west uses the V2500.

Looks good, I think the yellow and black really stand out nicely.

Thats a very sharp scheme.. .looking forward to catching this one.

Very nice plane!!!, I wish it looked more like the eagles, but never the less noticeable. Is it me or the lighting or what not- but does the forward part of the fuse look off white?

I think they did a rather nice job with it!

The most fitting but unlikely scheme in my opinion would be one for the New York Jets but I might just be a weeeeeeee bit partial. I am pretty excited about the Panthers one personally.

I hate the Steelers, but I'm looking forward to catching this one anyway... :)

BORING! now ron, the panther's scheme might be a bit better due to the size of the logo but this is just embarasing. it's like they're stuck using left-over paint based on the lack of color...

Unless the routings change the Steelers Logo Jet will be making her first LGA visit on Monday 9-3. Arriving on US 1644 @ 1447 departinmg to PIT on US 1260 @ 1540, in case anyone wants to try and get shots.

She is gone, I was just walking through the secure doors when she touched down. She is a good looking plane but the part where it says Steelers on the nose needs to be much darker. Right now it looks like dust or worn paint from a distance.
