no problem, too bad Kalita had to be running engines huh
Ha ha, it has a Budget rental van backed up to the cargo door, priceless! :D
Don't remind me!!!!
Although I'm not 100 percent sure the APU was the cause of the distortion. I did miss a better angle because the CKS 747 was in the way though grrrrr. I hope the CKS will be gone tomorrow.

Where did you take that shot from Senga? I presume from VS Cargo
I couldn't find anywhere to get a decent angle on it :-(
A bit disconcerting when you think about what Budget vans have been used for by Saudis in the past. :?Quote:

Mark, All, Since EWR is such an evil airport, please PM any questions you you have about spotting there to me. I'll be more than happy to answer them there.

any Idea who this was? some big oil tycoon just coming to do some shopping?
It was a Ryder truck, and I think most of them were Egyptian, but the point is valid :< Ryder was bought by Budget in 1998, so it's all one company now.
Budget is owned by Avis which was part of Cendant, but is now stand-alone after the Cendant fraud case, but it still remains a public company. Signature is owned by BBA Aviation, a British company. Signature's main rival, Landmark, is owned by the Carlyle Group, which has all sorts of sordid entanglements with Saudi interests. As far as I know, the ramp itself should be owned by the Port, which is a joint agency created and run by New Jersey and New York.
Is the Saudi 727 still there?
