Thanks Kaz... it was tough getting the whole plane and still managing a good exposure... I could not get the whole plane while using my sandwich technique which makes my camera rotate about 20 degrees... The wings and tail would crop :-( So, my daughter's bracelet came to play and I used it to prop up the camera on the railing and just gingerly use MLU and a self timer to try and not disturb the cam... was I worried it would drop on the planes below? Hahahhaaha
Cary, whatever happened to your Nikon D70?m LOL And why leave Nikon for inferior Canon System?
My D70 took a dive not too long ago (my daughter has been using it) and the Flash no longer locks down... I loved that camera... especially the rare 1/500sec flash sync
Well, I felt like shooting inferior-quality photos, so I switched to Canon to try to challenge myself :) Actually, I believe part of the reason was Nikon not having something that rivaled Canon's 100-400 IS, amongst other things. But when I was shooting film, the Nikon F5 was amazing. Unfortunately, I sold off all my Nikon gear (save a remote flash cord) in order to fund my inferior Canon purchases :) If Nikon made an improved 80-400mm, I would consider switching back.
And sorry to hear about your D70 :(
My D70s rocks, it's a great backup. I shot briefly with it the other night with you Manny. You should have said something I would have let you take a few shots with it.
Love that 727 Doug
Thanks!
Doug
Manny, you got a shot of LX-MES in!
Only on my THIRD try... LOL... and I had to seriously do some careful editing on the original... but I made it !! felt good... thought for sure it would not make it!
