Mark killer shot.
Great shot Mark, that new superzoom is killing it for you!!
Here are mine, finally. Just a few of my favorites. I had a great time with everyone, it was a blast shuttling people back and forth between Panera and Inwood, even if Gintaras almost killed me, Jared, Steve, and Ryan once on the way to catch Egypt.
All taken with Canon 5DMkIII + Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 + Sigma 1.4xTC. Forgive the quality, they're from Photobucket.

Great shots! Especially the shot of the UAE 788 and DRC 707 taken near sunset on your photostream.
Nice shot, I like the Olds front and center
EPIC VIDEO!!! Great angle, that must have sounded great in person!!
"Angola Two" this year was 9H-VJE, a VistaJet GLEX.
It headed to SWF Tuesday (9/22) evening as VJT859L. Too bad though, it would have been nice to finally catch an Angola Government aircraft...
That's where I have to stop; I do wish Iraq Airways kept more green on the fuselage but I'm in love with the tail! As for 5A-ONE, she's definitely different but she sure is eye-catching!
Also the Belarus TU-154 initially arrived on Sunday 9/21 as BRU2003 (MSQ-KEF-JFK).
Love the shots from Bayswater, Was the Jet Airways taken from there as well?

My shots from UN Week
Awesome collection of this years visitors Eric.
I've finally gotten registered and gotten around to sharing my shots here. It was nice being out for the weekend and meeting everyone. I only wish I could have been out for Monday and Tuesday as well, definitely some good action then. Here are my UN grabs. The entire album with all the non-UN traffic can be found on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/rmssch...7647969759985/

Ryan that's the best shot of the South African 727 I've seen so far. Welcome to the board!
Thanks for the explanation, That explains the difference.
Nice UN catches Mark. Sweet light on the Turkish!
Turkish was prolly best painted aircraft...
thanks for the correction on the Belarus. So it did show up Sunday
... thinking of bringing someone along to do video while I take the photo. Hah thanks there's even better nicknames to define anet and the other big site, but somehow I feel the humor won't be appreciated here. You can ask 'my boy' Dan from Orlando on facebook for other 'definitions'
lol yep that one, sent you a Notification/PM
Here are some of my Russian built catches from the week.

Great shots Don !
Nice head-on shot of the IL-62. This is the only time smoking is good for you as well ... :)
Nice shots Don!

BRAVO! All of you brought it big time! All the best stuff from around the world fully covered, I have been checkin this topic from the start and I feel like I was up there. I know some of you still have some more epic stuff coming, looking forward to it!!
Thanks guys!
Some more of my catches. I was only out a couple of days due to work schedule, so I missed a lot. Nice to see the ones I missed were posted by others. Great work everyone!

Dusk shot of the IL62 is awesome. For the TU154 I don't recall anywhere to get that close view of take offs at JFK, was that from the ramp?
I've never had the chance to be at Bayswater in the morning. Not sure if i got this right: arivals are normally 4R and those line up shots for t/o with the water visible are on 4L? I think someone said earlier the UN planes were using 4L. How many mms are needed for 4L / anyone has any sunny 4L arrival shots i can see?
Awesome shots Don! That -154 takeoff is superb
Yes that's true for the most part, and yes they were sending the VIP's to the left side, at least while I was there
You can see the distortion in this 4L arrival, taken with my Sigma 150-500 at pretty much full zoom, @f9:

It's not that bad for being that far away. But 500mm is just too far.
That Meridiana is sweet and one I need
The Gambia IL-62 stole the show this year in my opinion. Great shot of her after dark! Wow

Here's one more of mine of the spotters getting to work, this time at the Mounds during UN Week.
https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3930/...554791c7_c.jpg
It was my first time ever visiting this revered JFk spotting location. It got so packed that afternoon with people that some unfortunate spotters were forced to shoot from the street and soccer field behind the mounds. Wonder how often that happens when it's not UN week?
Thanks Mario, William and SkyTeam!
Here's where I got the IL-62 at at Dusk. Beach 94th St near Holland Ave, Rockaway. (A) on the map. She came in on 4R. This is one of the few places to catch 4 approaches in the afternoon/evening light.
Special thanks to Ben G. for the location.

Far from good quality but here's my best shot yet of the DRC 707.
Arriving on runway 31R close to midnight as "DRC001" with the Freedom Tower in the distance.
https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3927/...972d08c9_c.jpg
Hoping for a daytime arrival next year!
And a couple of planes I didn't see posted before:
9/22
"Mauritania 001" (5T-CLC) from Lajes, on final for runway 31L.

VistaJet operating as "Angola Two" (9H-VJE) arriving from Farnborough, on final for runway 31R.

Does anyone know if the Tunisia Government BBJ (TS-IOO) showed up this year or was the Tunisavia, F900 (TS-JSM) the Tunisia delegation's flight to the UN? It just used it's reg as the callsign...
