I heard that The redbird FMX Sim at Nassau flyers is going to be running for folks who want to fly a full motion general aviation sim. sounds cool
Well in the recent press release by the BFCU they still listed the F-22 so I guess its safe to assume it hasn't been officially cancelled by ACC yet which hopefully means there is still hope for it . Then again, who knows.
Even Newsday put in their 2 cents:

I will be posting my annual Air Show Frequency guide for all of you that like to listen to your scanners while at the show or airport. Like last year, the URL is : http://www.w2lie.net/airshow This page will refresh to the 2011 guide once it is completed.
And as is tradition, I will have a Live Feed running for the Air Show on my website.
I will reply to this thread with any updates on the live feed and frequency list.
Enjoy the show!
Thanks Phil! It's always a big help to have the correct frequencies!
I don't want to be a negative nancy but...

Sounds like the F-22 won't be flying again anytime soon...
Yeah, I saw that F-22 news link on ASB last night also :frown:
Let's hope the ACC can make an exception and schedule the Strike Eagle Demo team
to fill in for the Raptor at Jones Beach, especially since the F-22 was headlining the show.
If not, maybe they can still send us the F-4 or B-1B for some high speed flybys at least ???
Either way, it looks like I'll definitely be going down to the Millville show now for at least one
day that weekend to see the Blue Angels and Viper West to get my AFTERBURNER>>> fix !!
Definately not looking good. I hoe they resolve the issue before Rhode Island.

Aye, thanks..
Ok Guys and Gals, as promised, my frequency list is officially online at: http://www.w2lie.net/airshow
If you don't own a scanner, and would like one for the show, shoot me a message and I can help you pick out out now so you can have it on time for the event.
OR - Listen to my ONLINE SCANNER FEED starting Monday 5/23. I've been able to stream arrivals and photo shoot coordination as well. That is why I start the feed a few days early.
I have some great audio from last year, and I will try and highlight some of that during the week.
Enjoy the show - its always a great time - no matter who performs!
Thanks Phil! That's always a big help. Hope to see you around next week.
FYI- some GREAT news today for a change !! The F-18 Demo Team is back flying the FULL Demo again down at the JSOH at Andrews this weekend !!
Yes VFA-106 did fly their demo at the JSOH yesterday, will have a few shots later. Hopefully this wasn't just for JSOH and they will come to Jones Beach.
Additionally the F-22 was supposed to due a fly by or two yesterday at JSOH. It was still on the morning schedule and despite being grounded word was that we might get a fly by but it was officially cancelled. Word on the ground there was it is not going up any time soon, so it looks like we will miss out on it.
FYI - I see the ACC has just added an Heritage Flight with a P-51 too now.
I'm wondering if that means Jim Beasley will be bringing his Mustang to the show now also ??
Well that's odd. I guess the P-51 would fly with the A-10?
Not necessarily - Glamorous Gal was used for the HF a few times, don't know who was flying her - it wasn't Chris.
2009 with an A-10:

2008 with an F-22:

Yeah I know Snort usually flies the HF with Chris' GG, but Snort's busy next weekend
flying down at St. Augustine Airshow with his Team MS760, so that's why I wondering
if Jim Beasley would be flying the HF in his Mustang ? Hope so, because it sure would be
GREAT to have 2 beautiful P-51 Mustangs escorting ALL those Bombers over Jones Beach
Fingers crossed the ACC also sends us the F-4 Demo to replace the F-22 if it's still a no-go !!
Yes that's great, but is there any inclination yet that JB is actually getting the demo? Less than a week to go and the mood around here is pretty somber.
On another note, a week ago Sunday I took part in the CFF walk at Eisenhower Park on behalf of my nephew who is afflicted. It draws a lot of extended family and friends who usually have or will head to the show. All of them just about came up to me and said things to the effect of, "So Pete......no airshow this year huh?" I corrected them but heard "But I heard a lot of people backed out?". If LI'ers in general have this view I don't think it'll be much of a traffic jam this year at least.
We are getting an EA-6B Folks!!!!
You guys really need to get them to crank up the engines on the warbirds!! Otherwise your not getting the full effect!

Well we didnt get the Rapture maybe we can get a Raptor?
While this doesn't affect Jones Beach the Blue Angels are also on stand-dowb.
http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/05/2...week-show.html
OK it's Tuesday. Any one have any arrival info yet? Particularly the B-29 FIFI?
Just got back from Republic, aside from the AAM putting up the green fence covering you would never know it was air show week.
