Just me or did the Thunderbirds show seem short? This was my first T-Bird show. Their maneuvers were very different from the Blues show.
How about some burners ...............

Wish I could have got them closer to the moon.
Those are awesome pictures fk6065!
Were you on the boardwalk or the sand for those Thunderbird shots?
When the Blue Angels are in for the show, they typically take a trip down to Annapolis to fly over the Naval Academy graduation. The Thunderbirds fly over the Air Force Academy graduation, not West Point - that's a Army thing.
No, they did not.
A few from yesterday. The later show start gave us much better light than in years past. https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5325/1...b026fe51_b.jpg

Anyone know if the warbirds are going up for paid flights Sunday AM?
Two questions: what time do the breitling jets launch and return to FRG today? I assume the longer runway, away from the AAM?
And what time do the TBs launch from Islip? Where's the best spot to watch them return at islip?
Thanks. May not make it out there but want to keep my options open.
Two mile back up to the toll plaza on the Meadowbrook Pkwy to Jones Beach reported
Anyone know if the Breitling takeoff together and which runway they used yesterday
So now the obligatory end of air show questions:
TBirds leaving today or tomorrow and time? Same with Breitling!!
Hung around Republic today and had a great time!! Watched the Breitling team from the back of Atlantic by 109 depart, and they did a nice Formation FlyBy before leaving and another upon returning!! Very cool!! Nice crowd by the Terminal also!! Actually when I was by Atlantic one of the Geico pilots came out to get in his car and I thanked him for the great shows they always put on and told him I was waiting for the Beitling Team to depart!! He was very enthusiastic in his praise of them!!
Almost thought the TBirds were going to come in!! Apparently TBird 1 thought he was talking to Islip and the FRG controller thought he was talking to her about a Flyby and for a few minutes those who were listening in got a little excited!! Oh well! They did pass to the north of FRG to Islip!!
Thought this was pretty cool with the smoke ............

I finally got to see the Breitling Jet Team fly today, and totally wasn't expecting them to pop flares to end their performance. Did they do that yesterday too? Not the greatest shots, have to work on them but here is what they did,

I happened to be at Eisenhower Park for the Navy/Marine Landings on Saturday and after the Marine departure at around 2pm I was looking south towards the direction of JB and saw some smoke trails and what I thought were flares. I wonder if it was from the Breitling Jet Team. What time did they fly on Sunday?
They flew around 2:00PM to 2:30PM

Went to KISP today around 3PM and 'American Gold Rush' on the corner of RWY 6 was packed with people. Got to see the T-birds takeoff from RWY 24 at that spot, and it was very cool. Saw SCPD hassling drivers trying to park at the end of RWY 6, but didn't really bother us in the Gold Rush parking lot not too far from there. Any info on the T-birds departure would be greatly appreciated!!
*Edit*C-17 is on the ground now. Looks like they're gearing up and should be leaving shortly.I was playing with a few warbird shots.https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8899/1...1bfdb9cf_b.jpg

Breitling still at FRG. They just taxied over to Sheltair to park, maybe on static display for AAM visitors.
Does anybody know if all are alright when the 2 golden knights got blown into the crowd. I was to far from it. Luck to get in yesterday with the wife and kids.
Breitling is parked at the far end of the ramp, not that close to the open part of the ramp. They are leaving Tuesday - at least the ones who can fly.
