Mark, stop changing my thoughts. I think it's a Steamship. Like the Titanic. More luxurious than the lower end steamboat.

I also heard that those VIPs that go to IAD go there instead of JFK because they want to take Acela from Washington to Penn Station since most of those countries don't have high speed rail.
Great coverage this year guys. Mark that night shot of the Chile bird is sweet!
Damn, apparently I need to take an entire freaking week off next year. I thought I'd get the bulk of the stuff on Saturday/Sunday but boy was I wrong!
Great shots everybody!

Many countries fly commercial. If there's a head of state, they may book the entire First cabin. If it's just the Foreign Minister or something, then it's probably a couple of seats up front and then a whole bunch of coach. For example, when I was driving past T1 over the weekend, I saw a bunch of suits/earpieces get out of a marked NYPD car, and a couple of cars with Austrian dip tags idling at the curb, so I would assume their delegation took the regular OS flight to get here. Having dealt with a handful of head of state moves in a previous job, flying commercial is not even all that uncommon.
For the ones you've listed -
Russia: usually a pretty big flotilla, although Lavrov is already here and I don't know if Putin is going to show up himself.
Canada: sometimes the A310, usually just a Challenger. Someone posted an alert for CANFORCE 1 at TEB a few pages up.
China: Usually an Air China 763 or 744. Trackable. Look for an odd flight number.
Mexico: 757 TP-01. Trackable as MAF1.
Israel: Usually an El Al 767. Uses fixed call ELY33/34.
Also keep in mind that UN Week is still ongoing - some of these countries haven't spoken yet. Israel, I know, isn't coming until next week. Today, tomorrow, and Saturday are all Jewish holidays, so the earliest Netanyahu would come in would be Sunday morning.
Great photos all.
If anyone cares the Tunisian 737; TS-100, was at PHL on Tuesday.

As well as ComLux Aviation's Falcon; 9H-GMT.

I just happened to be there.
I'm watching MEA 700 on Flightradar leaving SWF and heading south towards the North Shore of LI, possibly heading to JFK which is using 22L and 13L for arrivals.
Also coming in over the North Fork is N767KS, that looks like a private 767. And now it looks like they switched to only 13L for arrivals.
Actually, they switched to the 4's.
Anyone know how much longer Gambia and the 707 will be at SWF? I've been wanting to get up there but didn't get a chance to yesterday or today.

Thanks Jason for the FYI on the Vietnam 777 and thanks to Ben for making me returning quickly back to the spotting locations as I just departed for home about the Italian Air Force.

Yesterday I saw a Colombian BBJ and C-32 (USAF 757) as Air Force 2 at LGA. I guess no one got pics?
I think the most rare sighting of all of UN week was Senga's appearance on the forums!!! :)
Well, at least we know where the Congo 707 is now....buried in the back of JFK

The Gabon 777 retuned to JFK via runway 22L around 1:30pm.

I also saw a C-40 (way in the distance) depart JFK at 8:40am.
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7296/9...878802ca23.jpg
When I returned home I saw another C-40, 05-0932 that left from NYC and a G-5, 97-1944 that left from EWR around 6pm. Also CS-TQX left EWR as EQG1 and 5A-ONE arrived at JFK from STW around 8:30pm. 10 minutes later CEF2, 2801 arrived at JFK from AUS…
great shots to most of u guys. It sucks I could not make it out though. Ive had soo much I had to do this whole week. Im gonna try for sunday only if any more UN traffic is still gonna be action.
BEST THREAD EVER !!!
Spanish AF A310 and Tanzanian? Gulfstream (or something like that) were at JFK yesterday too
Anyone know where i can pick up a scanner? None of the stores in my area had them in stock down in Florida before i came up. Sorry for the off topic
Also I had rent a cops "hello sir you can't be taking pictures here" at the garage. Later there were two on the roof probably chasing off someone else or just chilling up there.. Logo on these cars had blue letters with something yellow I think, didn't catch the name. Can the supervisors of thse people be contacted. Any tips?
Air India 747 inbound JFK around 4:20 from Andrews.
State of Kuwait A320 is enroute to KSWF

Phil Derner Jr, Sir
Yes yes very true. After seeing so much Awesomeness and meeting even more new awesomeness over the last few days I was driven to post :) But it was not complete because Phil Derner Jr was NOT to be found amongst them! :( Maybe next time!
Senga
Thanks delta777lr no sun but for a record shott no bad love the 747
Nice shot Misael I was a level below you shooting that 747, the Vietnam 777 came in later. I also saw that Iranian white-Assman plain A340, also spotted the Swaziland MD87 taxxing, but didn't see it leave. Did any of the parking security rent a cops see you or say anything?
Just noticed the new Jordan G650 came through Islip and LaGuardia over the course of the week. Could have seen it from Panera on the straight-in to 31 had I known to look over.
Also seeing the Bolivian Falcon went to Teterboro, repoed to Wilmington, and has now returned to La Paz.
This is the shot I've been waiting someone to post. Love AIC 744s' for decades. They stopped coming to JFK and got replaced with the more economical B777. Great shot; great livery. Thanks for sharing.
I got my scanners at Radio Shack years ago but don't know if they still have them in stock; maybe they can order for you. Mine got stolen! Those guys must have been private security; welcome to the new world of spotting!
Thanks Speedbird. I actually bought one yesterday at Radio Shack, thank God there was a store right near the train station here in Elizabeth NJ where Im staying.
They used the 4s all day and the main frequencies were different than the main ones on live ATC, so that threw me off some. Yep that's the security company that drives around T5, and the logo looked similar to the Air Train security, probably same company. I was near the west edge and the security lady down there at those booths yelled "ya can't take picture hea", but the security guys that came up were not mean to me or anything, just clueless / ignorant. One guy maintained photography from there is illegal and, then brought up all kind of excuses from federal buildings to 9/11 to Boston. Despite there being no law against it since everyone has a smartphone to snap away these days. When I thought I had them convinced after about an hour of this show... they said they have to follow what their supervisors tell them and said they would have to call the cops and I'm not up for that drama, so I told them they are right and they won and doing a great security job in that corner all talking to me lol.
As of this morning, SWF still had the Kuwait 345 and 319, the Pakistan G450, the Brunei 342, and the Comlux A320 opf Malaysia. The Brunei and the small Kuwait have since gone back to Kennedy and presumably overseas. The German 340 also came through JFK this afternoon (as did a Dreamlifter!).
HPN had the Ireland G-IV
Nothing obviously UN-related this morning at TEB, but the Namibia Falcon later repositioned up from Wilmington and is now on the way back to Windhoek (via Sal)
this is the first year I can contribute....

Mike, outstanding set and glad to see you're back posting.
When did the Gambia arrive back to JFK and depart?
..and did Russia bring anything this year? There's a few more meetings Monday and Tuesday, but did any of those delegations brought any noteworthy aircraft?
