The Philiipine A340 did in fact depart to SWF this morning, and will likely be there until friday morning before coming back to EWR. I'll post a departure shot later.

AF1 just flew over my school.
Well, you guys have certainly out done yourselves posting the shots you got on Sunday. What a group. At one time I counted over 20 people hanging in our little corner of the parking lot. I guess the old addage "there is safety in numbers" proved true because we didn't have any problems the entire time we were there. Anyhow, great seeing all the old gang that I know so well and meeting so many new folks that I didn't know at all.
Here's a few of my favs from the day ...
One of the few over/unders I shot during the day ...

I really don't think I have shot one of those since they installed that fence a couple of years ago.
Now, tell me ... who doesn't appreciate seeing one of these?

But, we were there for the foreign visitors who rarely darken our shores. So here are a few of my favs from the day. .....

And, of course, the Iranian 747SP ...

I have to credit Mike P. for that Iranian shot. He was just itching to go and see where they parked her so he could get a ground shot. She was parked over on the side of 13L with lots of ramp lice around. We made circle after circle after circle until the ramp lice disappeared and the Sun almost disappeared too. But we got the shot and that is what counts.
Enjoy

Great shots everyone, but Art the 747-SP is just Amazing !

Wonderful shots Art!
Bill - Great catch on the Phillipine A340; Great coverage by everyone all these days.
Tom
Art, Bill, great stuff, seriously.
Once again, thanks to all of you from those of us who were not able to get out at all this week.
Art - that Iran is amazing! Wonderful shots!!
>Marine 1 with a similar chopper<
They usually have one to two extra VH-3s to act as decoys. In August of 2006 I was parked along
the GW Parkway by the Potomac and watched 3 VH-3s inbound from Andrews to the White House. Only one
landed. The other two came right to the White House then did a 180 and returned to Andrews.
Most of the time they have CH-53s or CH-47s in the airborne motorcade carrying all the support people when
they do out of town visits.

Anyone know the symbolism of the tail artwork? Pegasus?
29000 departed SWF around 1030am this morning, about 10 minutes after the decoy one arrived.
Does anyone know what the Falcon 900 was in TEB this afternoon, hidden away in Jet Aviation? It had a flag on the tail similar to the Kuwaiti flag, but that was all we could see.

Wow Gordon... PR 340 8) Nice work
I hope you don't mind, Phil, but I figured I'd post shots here of aircraft that have not yet been photographed at JFK or EWR. The SWF Daily Report thread can get neglected sometimes. ;)

Nice shots all!
As Moose said, we saw AF1 on Monday. As we waited, I kept an eye on 13L traffic when something caught my eye, WAAAAY above JFK.

Needless to say, I was pretty happy and surprised to see a KC136 (MOOSE!) and a pair of F-15s in formation right above JFK. Never thought I'd see that over the skies at JFK
About 4 Minutes later, in came this guy:

Nice to see our tax dollars at work.
Went out this afternoon, but managed to miss AF1 departing (it's not something I like to talk about) but did get catch the Venezuelan 737.

And a C-17 departing after AF1 left.

Oh, and Mario, it's a KC-135
They are parked at Andrews AFBQuote:

Cameroon 763 came into JFK a few hours ago.
The cameroon was supposed to stay at SWF till Monday. I wonder if it is a second one.
It was a 763, with a blue line on the side. Maybe someone else?
The Cameroon 767 has the red cheatline. So it must be someone else if it has blue stripe
Sounds like turkemenstein.Quote:

Mario, great shot of Air Force One!
Moose, great shots of Venezuela and the C-17! I got the Venezulea 732 at SWF the other day - it's a pretty interesting plane.
5A-ONE would certainly be quite a catch!
5A-ONE, It was a nice catch :)

Did anyone catch a Brazilian Air Force ERJ Legacy in the UN parade? I saw one landing today at FLL (pictures came out nasty - no editing I think) and was wondering if it was on it's way from NYC or if it was another type of visitor.
Russian IL-62 is on route to JFK from Andrews AFB.
It appears that the Iranian president headed down to Venezuela on the 737-200.
