Perfect use of an HDR. And done Perfectly.... You need to give me tips!!!! :borat:
(seriously!)
thanks Fred! that was a 3 exposure quick and dirty HDR at -1,0,1 EV shot at F10 I believe. I appreciate the compliment! It seems like there's a good probability of color fringing in the highlights and sharpening has to be done with extra care as jaggies show up after just one light pass. Any thoughts on sharpening HDRs?

Nice! What church is that?
HDRs seem to work well for Glass Cockpits

I agree with Moose regarding the horizon on the first, but they're both amazing HDRs IMO
Gorgeous shot, Eric.
Are those from Top of the Rock?
Yup, Top of the rock with improvised tripod.
and one more.

That first shot is eye candy extreeeeme! Setting sun, Gradient in the sky that it shows, the pinks on the right and perfect exposure. It looks like it is not level tho but nothing a little post processing can not handle. Great Capture.
The second shot lacks the punch of the first shot, the mid levels look a little bland, this shot may be much better as a non hdr (Please do not tell anyone I said that!)
Your certainly blessed with a great eye
OVER the top HDRs - These are amazing an proof that it can work!
I hope you have some time....P.S. LOOK AT THE DATES!!! Holy crap that camera gets around!

I'd love to get a copy of that program he uses, seems pretty dang powerful.
It look like he is doing a 1 shot RAW and then converting it. He uses Photomatix like I do and he goes into how he processes it. With photomatix and practice, it is easy to get his results but hard to get his consistency.
It helps that the link below shows his entire workflow so you can do the same thing....Woops, was I not suppose
to say that? :borat:

Two new ones
One processed just enough to make it still look like a photo:

One over the top processed, but I think it works in this case...and the "ghosted" people make the picture dynamic, not static.

John, I was just looking at these on facebook, nicely done!
fresh off the press....finally got to shoot a Piaggio all lit up. Critiques are more than welcome!
threw in a shot of a little area of our new lobby at CDW as well

I like the second Pilatus shot better...first one is too saturated, and there is a lot of CA on all the white edges (paper on yoke, in the dash holder, etc). The first one also looks a tab blurry on the pilot's CB panel. The second one is a lot sharper and the colors look much better.
blasphemer!!!! just kidding, though it is a Piaggio.Quote:

I like the first and third....second seems to be overly processed. You may have been trying to achive that look and I just do not go that far with mine. Everyone has a different take on how far to take it. I DO LOVE THAT YOU HAVE THE HALO's UNDER CONTROL. Your stuff is looking good there!!! :borat:
