Nice catch on the ExpressJet Fred!
Caught that ExpressJet last Saturday at FRG. Unfortunately, the only sharp shot I got had the nose gear blocked by the distance remaining marker :(

Had a little better luck today with this Falcon. She's registered to the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, hence the green and yellow colors.

Great shots!
That Sabreliner was here last Spring. I was inbound to Home Depot and
caught her lining up. The sound was exhilarating.
Thanks for keeping up and sharing those great pics!
Seeing these shots almost makes me happy to be back @ FRG again!
Now all I have to do is remember to take the camera.
wow i think that the XJET scheme is hideous.... nice shots though
Thanks Mark, I can not belive that my camera caught that thought bubble..... Lets see Nick's Nicon do that!
One from today....errrr.... Yesterday

Spent the day hanging out there, getting to know my new lens.
Nothing special, but it sure was windy...he had to go around.

Looks like you were over by the terminal (parking lot maybe?) When were you there? I was bopping around FRG this afternoon as well. But how did you miss this over at Sheltair :)Quote:

She came in late Friday night, bringing the Washington Capitals for a game with the Islanders. Fred tells me she is supposed to leave Sunday around Noon. Not sure if I will get there, but it would be worth it just to hear those old JT8Ds!
And just for us spotters, they have this painted on the side:

No need to figure out model (737-2L9) or serial number (21528)
She served with Bahamasair, Dan Air London, and Airtran before her current regi.
I was there from around 1-3pm, and yes, right by the terminal.
I definately saw that one...

I was thinking, "I should go over there and get some better pics of that," but then my battery died. Note to self: get more batteries.
You see the silver coupe on the right side of your picture - behind that red post? That's me. Sorry I missed you.
What are you shooting with?
Ha! Well what do you know.
I have a Canon Rebel XT, the kit 18-55, and the 70-300 USM IS.
Ahh Sky King, I was lucky to see her at Love field last month.

Wish the light was a little better at FRG, I would love to get her there.
wow, Nick, that is one sweet shot!
It seems like FRG was the popular spot yesterday, and I was even planning to head out there, since I was going to be out on the island anyway, but I woke up, saw the gray skies and slept in (and decided to leave the camera home). Of course, as soon as I finish up (~3ish) there's sun to be seen, and alas I'm without camera. I'll probably try it again in two weeks (Saturday 3/24) when I'm out on the island next, if anyone wants to meet up there.
Thanks Mario, Dallas was a lot of fun. I met up with a friend and split the day between ADS and DAL. It was great, have to spend more time there next time.Quote:

Learning, I like the Mitchell overgrainy and over saturated during engine
tests before its ferry flight for its annual. The reflection in the nose of the
Mitchel nose shot I also liked. I like the look and the feel of most of
these but I do realize they are not going to be accepted of uploaded to JP
or ANET, but I like them ;)

You really suck, Fred
Fred, Moose - Nice Job!
Fred - Glad you got that old Sikorsky Hulk.
Moose - I was wondering what blimp that was over the city the last couple of days. Today I had guessed it was GoodYear - Unusual to see other blimps on such overcast days.
That makes Blimp #2 by my count this summer - following the NAVY Blimp.
Tom
Last two days saw the blimp fly right up the middle of LGA at about 5PM. Must be a cool sight for landing aircraft.
Here are some from 6/24/07:
Enjoy and critiques are welcome.

Tom, the Metlife blimp has also been in town this summer about 3 weeks ago. So make it 3!Quote:
