I highly doubt it.

CAF B-24 & B-29 are due in to Farmingdale tomorrow between 12:00pm 2:00pm weather permitting. Severe weather along the East Coast may affect their arrival
On a cloudy dreary day here's a little video to get everyone's blood pumping for this weekend. My son did Air Combat USA yesterday for his 16th Bday. They were out at Brookhaven for the weekend , enjoy!!
http://youtu.be/S_TX7R76Wf0
AAM just updated their Facebook saying the B-24 and B-29 will not be in until Wednesday at noon due to bad weather.
Yup!! Had off today and was hanging out by the movie theater as they were landing Runway One Four having my Dunkin when I saw thge update!! Now THATs customer friendly service!!
Also saw Team Oracle, John Klatt and the Waco Jet all here in the hangar opposite the AAM. Do we know the ETA for Team Breitling?
If they arrive 22 or depart 6 the only spot I saw was on Railroad Ave south right past Knickerbocker!! There is an opening there to view but one would need to be quick if taking pictures!! For 454/Lakeland or along Smithtown Ave there are a number of Warehouses/Factorys that are closed on the weekend where one could park and stroll over to the fence line!! Like I wrote before be smart, obey any directions from authorities or property owners and LOOK BOTH WAYS crossing the street!! I'll most likely be around there on Thursday with Friday, Sat and Sun watching the activities from the beach or other areas.
Saturday morning I'll be at Eisenhower Park for the Navy assault demos!! That never fails to be very exciting especially for a RotorHead like me!!
And the weather Wed to Sun looking very good from multiple weather sources!!
As a Liberty Jet employee I'll share what I know. Keep in mind that Sheltair is the official "hoast" and the info they're giving us at Liberty isn't always correct. I heard that the support c17 or c130 will be arriving sometime Wednesday afternoon with the f16's following an hour behind. My guess is that they'll be on the ground around 1600. hope this helps!
No TFR posted yet for the practice or show.
If the Thunderbirds come in on Wednesday I wonder if they will go up for a run through on Thursday.
I know now they used to transit to shows on Thursday and practice once on Friday.
Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to RI and Westover had a very impressive line-up this past weekend also.
It's just ironic that it's FLEET WEEK NEW YORK and now there's NO NAVY or USMC Demos scheduled for Jones Beach ??!!
Even the new NYC/ Coney Island Show that's "supposedly" going to happen in August is scheduled to have both the
Navy Super Hornet Demo AND USMC Harrier Demo !!!! ..... Go figure
12-5P show window will leave a lot of empty time slots.
I'm sure some of the solo performers will pull Double Duty for the show, and the Golden Knights will probably jump 2 or 3 times,
and hey they can always get the SUNY Farmingdale Flight School to do some flybys again to fill some of the empty time slots also
Farmingdale Flyers ....... Awesome vapor clouds ......
Just saw this disturbing info posted on the Navy TAC Demo FB page:
"The Gladiators of VFA-106 will not be flying at the Jones Beach show this weekend.
Unfortunately airspace limitations precluded us from being able to fly the show."
If they can't fly their demo how will the Thunderbirds be able to fly their demo ???
There's no FAA TFR posted for the show yet, and this news doesn't sound good at all:confused:
Wow! JFK Runway issues.....
Airspace limitations what does that vague statement mean....and what has changed, they have flown the demo down there before......that rots....
ken
What's the usual JFK configuration while the show is going on? Could it be with use of the 13/31 pair mandatory the FAA would only give them a big airspace box for a short amount of time and the organizers decided to use it on the Thunderbirds?
Supposedly, The hornet required the same airspace as the Thunderbirds and the FAA wasn't going to allow it. Apparently there must be a variable air show box this year.
I don't even care, as we said earlier, with next weeks lineup this a good warm-up show.
Anybody going to try to catch the Thunderbirds arrival to Islip?
Fifi will be inbound today - they are planning a flyover of the Statue of Liberty at Noon, and will arrive at FRG following that.
There are two c-130s at Garrett ISP. landed there this morning.
If anyone is at Islip I just had 2 Chinooks, a Huey and what looked like a Cobra fly right over my house.
My dad has been asking me and Ihve no idea, so here goes.
What time do the Tbirds usually do their show? Im assuming 4 PM. So here's asking me and Im telling him. And he thinks he'll pick up my kids on Friday aftrernoon at 3:15 and make it to Jones Beach for 4 PM from Huntington. I told him to get real.
Is 4 PM accurate?
Never caught the Thunderbirds at the beach but Blues in the past always went on the last hour. Fridays are not as crowded as Saturday and Sunday.
The B-24 is due in around 3:15 according to Flightaware.
With the show schedule being Noon to 5pm this year, I would expect the Thunderbirds to fly around 4pm. Fifi and Diamond Lil (the CAF B-24) are both at the AAM.
Any word on the thunderbirds arrival
Thunderbird 8 came into ISP around 3 today.

We set up in Red Hook to try and catch FIFI with the Statue Of Liberty in the background but unfortunately, she came down the river from the North, making a few slow lefthand orbits, making for very long and not particularly clear shots. It was good to see her back in the area though.

The NOTAM is finally posted: http://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_5_4476.html
It only includes Thursday through Saturday (strange, unless they will post a separate one for Sunday, but that seems unusual...) and airspace restrictions are for Thursday 4 - 5 pm, and Friday and Saturday Noon to 5pm. And under reason for NOTAM, it says The USN Blue Angels and various aerial demonstrations.
Nice job Tim !
I see it was pretty windy there too with the white caps !
And so it begins...
