Moose you rock!
It is confusing where these visitors will be staying. I see the flag of Libya flying in front of the Plaza Hotel this week yet the president of Libya is not staying there. I used to think that a flag in front of a hotel indicated that the head of government is a guest there but evidently this is untrue.
..was so hoping Afriqiyah, Iran, and MEA would come in YESTERDAY while I was still there! That's it I'm pulling my hairs out!!! ;)
I just had the feeling they would show up at JFK Tuesday, oh well. Standing around in one spot for hours is unbearable to me but catching the only 3 planes I cared about from yesterday: Ethiopian, Turkmenistan and especially Ukrania IL-62 -a dream catch- made it all worthwhile!
Hopefully something really good in airline colors shows up like Royal Brunei, Vietnam or Cameroon. The Russian State transport Illushins would've been great too. Darn G20...
Beautiful shots, keep 'em coming :borat:
The French and Czech AF took off around 8pm on 31L almost after each other and passed by us while we taxied out on a DL MD80 back to Orlando. Czech had the cabin lights on, but looked empty.
ps: I agree with Senga the Turkmenistan new scheme couldn't be more boring, IMO green color saves it from being total crap. 707 N88ZL used to be trackable, now its blocked from flightaware. But i thought that one was not rare at JFK
Nice. I hear some of these are based in ISP. Any confirmation on what may be there?
Algerian AF A345 showed up this morning along with the Gulfstream

Great shots man! Congrats on your first 707, now u dont have to cry no more.
Yes, I got 2 new plans today...NOT even operators just 2 new types for airlines I already had. Yet another disappointing day for VIP Week 2009. At least the clouds (I Love clouds) kept the sun and heat away.
As usual I had everything else.

Hi folks,
Been a while, I trust everyone is well!
Time for the annual Rhode Island delegation to visit the area for the UN Aircraft.. Some have headed up to FRG have they? Wasnt expecting that! ;-)
According to flightaware the following have gone up to Stewart:
5A-ONE Libyan A340
F-OMEB MEA A330
3C-EGE B737
Kuwait 9 - A GulfV
Turkmenistan 767
9A-CRO Croation Govt Challenger (which I scored in Providence a couple of years back!)
N767KS B767
Kuwait 3 - the A310
There are probably others but these are the ones I can see which are obvious..
anyone going to be around at JFK or EWR tomorrow/wednesday who can help with their observations by texting me? Please send me a pm and I'll leave you my number!!
Thanks in advance, maybe I'll see you around!
Geoff
Gordon Brown arrived on a Virgin Atlantic 747 today, G-VFAB. Virgin recently snatched operations for the PM from British.
Eyballed an IL-96 on long, high final to 22L over the north shore of Nassau County at 19:00 this evening.

If it isnt a secret, may I ask what altitude they are at? :?:
They park here every year for the GA. I think someone related (daughter?) lives or goes to school out here from what was toldQuote:

Guess the shots on Tuesday were taken from 22L..
It came in and parked at the triple hangers.
EP-IAD as IRA101
Senga
Heading to SWF after work - will try to get some shots.
Are departures after the Assembly usually staggered? From the schedule it seems like there are several conference and committee meetings which stretch into next week and even October...
Last night I saw the Iranian SP by the triple hangars, as Senga mentioned. The late sun even shone on it....I'm surprised no one else grabbed it. Stupid me...not bringing a camera to work again.
So looks like it came during daylight, somebody must have gotten it. But don't worry Phil, we got the IL-62 :borat: :DQuote:

Totally awsome was the Tchad/Chad Government MD-87 (TT-ABC) yes its spelled with a T.
Other new planes:
Swedish Air Force Gulfstream 024
Government Monaco Government* 3A-MGA
Croatia Government Challenger 9A-CRO
So far the Thad Government MD-87 is the highlight for me.
This is stuff is a lot better than the Garbage I have been shooting at JFK over the last few days.
The Tchad MD-87 was going to be leaving soon.
Other aircraft at SWF are as follows.

Hot, Senga. In the first pic, what is the gray one in the background with the star on the rudder?
