Wow, I missed that thing by probably a few minutes. I thought about running a little later for work than I was already to see it but I leered on the safe side anywahy and still got chewed.

Here is an intresting question about the Iranian SP. We are not allowed to engage in commerce or sale of goods with Iran's goverment or companies of Iran so what are they doing about fueling and ground handleiong? If they are not bringing their own team than let Swiss Port do it. I am sure they can do a bang up job. Pun intended.
Where do all these birds park at JFK?
Most drop off their pax, depart and park for the week at other airports.
The UN charter requires the U.S. government to allow every UN member free roam of a 25 mile radius centered at UN headquarters, even ones we are at war with.Quote:

There's a few government biz at Teterboro as well.
Greek AF Gulf
Swedish AF Gulf
SE-RDY not sure if it's UN related or not
HP-01 Panama Govt
Canadian Forces Challenger
3A-MGA Falcon
Also at Newark around 5pm was 3C-EGE BBJ and a USAF Gulfstream.
The biz at TEB normally do not relocate during the week.
Overheard an interesting exchange on Ground Frequency at JFK.
A Jet Blue flight asked what the gray Airbus was (Czech), the controller replied "I'm not allowed to tell you, but if you read the papers you'll figure it out!"
Why such secrecy?? More paranoia?
It pays to know the IACO's. Silly pilot
Senga
yea, that's a lot for secrecy...but if anyone noticed my previous posting...noone was suppose to know that.....:....aren't you glad ya know me.Hey lets play guess where the iranian crew is sleeping tonite
Hi, do you guys know whether any of today's (Sun, Sept 23rd) arrival will be heading to SWF? I am thinking about going to SWF in the next few days. Based on your experience, is it worthwhile heading there early in the week or later?
Thanks in advance.
On the plane... :?:Quote:

Great group out today I think at our peak we had 15 or 16 people and 11 cars! Awesome to see so many good friends out enjoying the weather, VIPS, and each other's company. The did Police show up twice, once at Bayswater (NYPD) and the at Firestone (NCPD) but man talk about cool cops! NCPD didn't even get a call they just stopped by to say hi and BS a bit, really great officers, they loved the C5 pics we got. Nice to see we've finally made a connection with local law enforcement. They know who we are and finally know why we enjoy our hobby. All in all one of the best days of spotting for me.
So I slept in this morning, and missed some good early arrivals...but I did manage to get to Firestone for the afternoon - we had a huge group out today, good to see everyone. Here are my highlights:

Nigerian Air Force BBJ, with the presidential seal on the tail.

And the big one...

Great shots Moose!
Seconding John, I too send the morning in the shade with Sebastian, then headed in with the family. Really nice photos John!
What a really nice gathering of folks, fun and laughter. It was a pleasure to meet some new people out there and put more names to faces.
And we even saw Brittany Spears 747, which was almost as big a highlight as the
747SP
Might head out to see POTUS tomorrow in the afternoon but she always comes in on 31L....
FoxNews is saying "Iran's incendiary president makes stealth arrival in New York City amid tight security." Right. We all knew ahead of time!
I then clicked on "photos" and saw nothing even taken today. One of you should sell your pics!
Hoping the heads up as aircraft passed over New England was a help for you down in the city!
Will make the trek to mop up the pieces on Tuesday!
Geoff
I reccomend it. I will act as your agent for a very small fee on the order of say 5% per shot, ;)
Over the top near Providence! It was 4 !!Quote:

Thanks for the heads up, Omar!! Hope all is well.
Omar, the Guinea BBJ arrived at SWF around 6:30pm today. I saw 5A-ONE was scheduled to come into SWF a couple of days ago and never showed, apparently it's canceled now. Hoping she'll make a surprise visit!

Great shots on these unusual visitors :D . Sorry couldn't be there due to work. :(
Eric, looks like the 40D got the job done.
Nice shots everyone. I was out at Brookhaven today and in the midst of the flying I took saw the Iran Air 747-SP? I couldn't beleive it and totally forgot it was UN week until I saw John and Erics shots. Thanks!
I saw a DC-9 or MD-80 parked in front of the triple hangars this morning. Not sure whose it was.
That's probably the Gainjet MD-80, Phil.
That Cesky Republic, would have loved to have see her. Nice shot Eric.
TC-ANA is over at FRG now Omar, thanks for the heads up.
Great photos guys!
I finally got to a computer that allows me to view the pics and I must say, excellent documentation of the arrivals of the day.
Saw this on A.net, president of the Phillipine's is gonna fly into EWR Wed. morning (6 am but I'm hoping they're a little late) for 3 days and speculation is it will be an A340. http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingne ... e_id=90443

I heard and saw what appeared to be a B707 pass over my house this morning using the Canarsie Approach to JFK. The time was 6:58. Unfortunately, I couldn't make-out the markings. Does anybody have a clue?
just look at Passur from 6:50-7:10 nothing inbound to jfk but the usual
AF1 came in a while ago.
Today we also had a South African BBJ, Belgian A310, Qatar A330 and a German A310.
Chilean 707 was at JFK today.
