From what I heard AA is getting rid of them all by 2012. As from what it seems they are taking them off of the longer hour runs first so the shourt hauls will most likely be where we will see them towards the end of the life.

If there are any nice weekends in March, I will be making a trek to LGA. Haven't been there in quite some time.

Its the DL DC95s that will be gone by 2012, the AA MD80s will be around much longer than that. You can check out the latest AA filings and other documents. What may be accelerated, due to increased fuel costs, is the rate of replacement of MDs by 738s, but it will still be a long, long process.
